Butternut Squash has to be hands down one of my favorite vegetables to eat and create with. One of the easiest and in my opinion tastiest ways to make butternut squash it to roast it .
You will need a few essential items in order to make this prized side dish. Let's get started.
Tools:
sheet pan
parchment paper
2 -3 butternut squash
2 springs thyme
salt
pepper
2 tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 cup olive oil
brush
To begin start your oven at 400 F . Peel and cut open your butternut squash, quick tip you can scope the seeds out with a spoon. Add the parchment paper to sheet pan, then place the butternut squash.
In a bowl add oil, thyme, salt, pepper and garlic powder and mix well. Brush mixture on the front and back of the butternut squash until well coated. Add to oven and cook for 20 minutes then flip for 10 minutes or until you have the golden brown color.
Let cool then eat with alone or with your main meal. Although sweet by it's self you can add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and cinnamon for a sweet twist.
